Based on my experience all the iPhone’s not good enough water proof with timing, you can touch your phone with your wet hands or moisture can go through. Sometimes user’s of Apple products update their phones with not full Battery it might cause update interruption. On latest iOS, Software Update turns on automatically. Let’s say: you receive an update  on your phone it will download it automatically, and it will install it, once you leave your phone on charge overnight with WiFi connection. Try to update your iPhone not Restore,  if update is successful then it’s software issue.

If you can’t update your phone don’t keep try it. It might cause software encryption at the end you will your data. Also, an error can occurs, like Error 4013, 4014, 26., all these errors related with hardware issue. Error 4013 means there’s shortage on FaceID circuit on the Logic board. Error 4014 and 26 most likely it’s Battery or NAND Component on the motherboard.
